Steve Chroscicki started his working life as an engineer with London Buses (or London Transport Executive as it was then ) the years passed, got married to the lovely Alex (see below) redunancy beckoned and a new life of brewing began...
Alex Chroscicki began work with Lloyds bank in the office side of things, went on to work in Personnel. Years past foolishly said yes to marriage proposal from the above, and went on to run The Chequers more or less single handedly
whilst the other half "mucks
about in the brewery"!
Never really had in mind running a pub but when the bank was approached with a hair brained scheme to open a brewery, the pecieved wisdom of the lenders was "if you want money for a brewery you should own a pub too!"
Forgot to mention that both things are more than a full time job!!!
